You complete my pantry

imageI recently posed the question “What item is a MUST in your pantry?” on the Food for a Year Facebook page. I got several answers (yay!) and I agreed with all of them. I am currently lacking several of the “MUST’s” listed and I honestly felt the urge to run out the door and go directly to the nearest grocery store and begin a stockpile.

My Bake-Off buddy and recipe creator extraordinaire, Jannine, said “Trader Joe’s Everyday Seasoning. So tasty and versatile – it’s like a little jar of magic.” Um – I need this now.

Matina’s MUSTs gave me several recipe ideas! “Pesto, tomato sauce, noodles, salsa, canned organic beans & tomatoes, rice & oatmeal.” I think my pantry would meet with your approval – wait, I need pesto ASAP!

My dear friend Mary Ann  said “Hidden Valley”. Mary Ann, if ranch could be a love language, I would say it’s mine for sure!!

Carole said “Better than Bouillon Organic Vegetarian Bouillon Paste. Can’t tell the difference from meat broth. I use it in so many things. Especially during the winter!” Wow, great tips friend- you need to share some of your creations on my blog-consider this your formal invite. I am ready when you are!

Michelle says ” Salsa, avocados and tortilla chips. Oh and garlic. I add fresh garlic to everything possible.” Well that explains why you have such a beautiful complexion, and I am still waiting to sample your famous guacamole. Oh, and consider this your formal invite as well. What the world needs now is gluten-free recipes! ((I think the Carpenter’s  take on what the world needs now sounds much better than my version!))

College roommate buddy, Tracy shares her MUST “canned diced tomatoes.”  Yes, I agree- having canned tomatoes is like bringing the railroad to the Wild Wild West, the possibilities are endless!

Sweet friend, Sonia, “Cumin,  garlic & olive oil!” that is a perfect start to something yummy I am sure!
