This cute square is delicately and perfectly trimmed in a white and golden yellow hand-crocheted lace. Wouldn’t this be the perfect linen for a wedding or baby girl shower?? Whether for the gift table or the dessert table — I am totally in love!
The white cotton square is decorated with 4, hand-embroidered baskets — one in each corner. Really, I love this for a spring or summer tablecloth!
There is one faint purple spot on this square. I imagine it was made by one lone blueberry that dropped from a dish during a lovely ladies tea. The previous owner, I am sure, quickly assured the guest who dropped the berry saying “Oh, don’t worry about that dear! It will come out in no time, I have done the very same thing before! A little club soda will get it right out, I am sure. Now go on and visit, and do not worry another moment about this tiny little spot!”.
I have not tried to remove the spot – but if I were you, I would start with club soda, just like the lady said. Hahha, no I am not crazy and yes, I do like to imagine the life these vintage things before they came to me!
