One of my favorite vintage kitchen treasures is hand-embroidered kitchen dish cloths, table squares & aprons. These cloths are unique – because they come in a rainbow of colors AND are oversized!
The “day of the week” theme is always a favorite – and close to my heart. I treasure the set my grandma gave me one Christmas when I was newly married.
This set is in great shape – no tears or holes. There are a few aging marks, some browning along one or two fold-lines. To remove the age stains, let me tell you about my trick :: soak ΒΌ cup OXY-CLEAN in 1 gallon of the hottest water you can get your hands on (not IN — that would be BAD). Stir the water until the OXY-CLEAN dissolves. Allow the water to cool completely. Once the water has cooled, soak your vintage stained cloth overnight. Rinse and repeat if necessary.
