((SOLD)) For Sale ((by Emily)) — Meito Fine China Large Serving Pieces, in the “Keepsake” pattern; made in Japan

I have three serving pieces of this GORGEOUS vintage china. Friends, these pieces are so juicy!!
If you don’t recognize the word juicy as a descriptive of dishes, then let me tell you what I mean.
They are timelessly beautiful, so nicely detailed ((just look at the flowers — and the gold accents and the matte ivory or white — and the burgundy scalloping…)) they are surprisingly heavy and not a scratch, utensil mark or a bit of crazing to be found.
There are a few little things I will point out – each platter has a small chip on the underside. These are totally unnoticeable ((unless you flip it over — but then all the food would fall off…)) and in no way affect the use or look of these pieces.
Additionally, some of the gold trim seems to be slightly scuffed – this detail is hard to photograph.
This pattern is known as “Keepsake” and later named “Versailles” and is estimated ((by my research)) to have been made in Japan in the 1940’s ((eek)).
So here are the stats:
One vegetable/side dish serving bowl; 11½” x 8″ x 2¼” — $22One medium serving platter; 12¾” x 8½”– $35One large serving platter; 17½’ x 11¼” — $60
Wouldn’t these be perfect for Thanksgiving?? Or how about as a gift for some newly weds?? How sweet would this be to be the “something old” gift??
I wish I had a feel-a-v-sion setting for the shop, if you are a dish lover like me and got ahold of them – you wouldn’t let them go!
