The placemats are very sturdy, non-flexible, actually heavy with brass trim and a cork underside.
These placemats are super fancy and whimsy all at the same time. I love the iridescent, milky shine of these creams colored windowpane oyster shells, also known as Capiz shells.
There are no chips but one mat has an almost unrecognizable crack ((that doesn’t affect it’s function of beauty)). There is no space or raised line that would catch as you wipe something across it – but it is there. See the photo below.
This set is sure to add some sparkle and charm to your table!
