Tip of the Week
I can’t remember exactly when I started using this little trick – I bet I was out of cooking spray and desperate ((a crying baby or 2 may have been involved)), but every time I do this I am reminded of how handy this little habit is. What is my tip?
TIP OF THE WEEK:
Don’t discard the butter wrappers once you have used up a stick of butter…SAVE them. Neatly flatten the wrapper out, place it in a baggie & put it in the freezer. Every time you use up a another stick of butter, place the wrapper in the same baggie.
The next time you need to butter a dish, cookie sheet of even a skillet, pull one of these wrappers out of the freezer. Each wrapper has just enough residual butter left on it to perfectly grease a dish. No more messy sputtering over-sprays from a chemical rich (and expensive) non-stick spray can!
So, quit throwing away the wrappers from sticks of butter…not only do they perfectly (and neatly) grease pans, skillets and baking sheets — they are FREE!!
How’s that for a tip of the week?? Do you have a tip you would like to share? I would love to hear all about it–share your idea in the comments section of this post.
