I’m back!
Whew – the holidays hit and life has been a blur ever since! I’ve gotten so far behind that I am tempted to got sit in a dark corner and stare at a wall until spring. But that’s not an option so I’ll just tell you a little bit about what’s occupied my time and then I’ll start working on writing the post for a yummy chili recipe ((coming soon)).
First, Sinkology came to Oklahoma and photographed a slew of gorgeous copper sinks! That was so much fun, they even let me try my hand at being a dish-washing hand model. I’ve never been so nervous washing a dirty bowl!
Then there was Thanksgiving, hubby and I double-teamed a fully loaded turkey dinner. Brined, oven roasted turkey, creamy mashed potatoes, stuffing, homemade dinner rolls, pecan pie and cherry cream pie just to name a few things on our menu! (I was SO full)
Then there was Holiday on the Farm – I made and sold over 200 mixes, jellies, salted caramel and hot fudge sauce. And to sell, I had to make it – so the kitchen was my factory and the house is still in recovery mode from that experience!
Then there was a 4 day trip to San Francisco. I gained some skills from Chef Tyler at Oenotri (which is always a highlight of my trip), shopped some thrift stores and ate and ate and ate.
Then this week our backyard bunny farm was in overtime with 3 litters of holland lops added to our farm. We bred our trip-color and our black torte (does) with our broken orange buck. This has given us all new colors ((AND SPOTS)) on the farm. I am so excited. Babies will be ready for the forever homes the week of Valentine’s Day 2018!
And that brings us up to today!
