I love these spicy blue cheese shortbread crackers! They check all the boxes – spice, salt, heat, and a little flair thanks to the blue cheese! They unexpectedly became the star of my graze board, pairing so well with apples, pears, spicy honey and even a crunchy dill pickle!
Time to bring a little bit of Fall into our menu! This recipe uses some sweet and tart apples & plums to bring seasonal (and delicious) flair to dinnertime!
I love olives – all types : green, black, purple – brined or packed in oil – pitted or with pits. I love them. I love them so much that I wanted to make them the star of my graze board rather than an accessory quietly tucked into a corner. That’s where these ‘Easy Extra’ recipe comes in to play!
This is the salsa that satisfies my gardening spirit and my tastebuds! The subtle flavors of mint and parsley add an unexpected but strangely logical flavor to this salsa – kindly identifying themselves as mid-summer garden troopers. All the while, the roasted, caramelized veggies and the heat from those few hot peppers bring comfort to my deep cravings for salsa.
I LOVE a good melty, cheesy grilled cheese sandwich. But, it honestly never fails. I burn at least 1 side of EVERY single grilled cheese sandwich I make. No matter how hard I try – the pan gets hotter faster than I expect and once I flip it over – BOOM! black as a piece of coal (and similar tasting too).
That’s why I think this sheet pan method is so.very.spectacular. Once you see how easy and *burn-proof* this method of grilled cheese making is, this will be your go-to sandwich-making method for sure.
Tater Tot Casserole – it’s my response to the 4,000th time I’ve been asked ‘what’s there to eat?’ And really, it’s an awesome meal solution. It’s easy to make, the ingredients are simple and at hearing the words ‘tater tots’ my kids are over the moon.
The new Summer 2020 kid’s cooking class schedule is up! We have a new location (Reclaimed Warehouse in Moore, OK) and are excited for all the fun things we’ll be able to do here.
It’s no surprise, during this time of pandemic, I’ve been working out my biscuit hand! I’ve shared multiple versions of biscuit recipes – chocolate chip, apple cinnamon and blueberry but it occurred to me – what about the simple, classic traditional buttermilk biscuits?
NEW COMFORT FOOD RECIPE – The other day, I was talking to hubby about food. That pretty much happens all of the time, but lately our conversations are a little bit more about how we can use what we have without going to the store. And just like that, I was making Tuna Noodle Bake!
I hope this simple + speedy 5-ingredient Queso recipe brings a little delight to your daily meal plan. We’re all in this together – sending loved and hugs to you all!
The schedule for several different cooking classes is up! I am currently teaching out of the international pantry in Norman, Moore Norman Technology Center and private adult classes out of my kitchen loft.
