Bunny Update – 3 Weeks old! :: “When your baby is hungry, you feed him.”
Three weeks and OH how these babies have grown! Do you remember what those tiny, almost hairless babies looked like? So many changes in such a short time – it really is amazing.
Check out my earlier posts about our babies and their mommas by clicking the links below:
When we first discovered the mommas decided to share the same nest ((meaning all of the Holland Lop and Lionhead babies were in one big, mixed up pile)) I was HIGHLY concerned. Over the next days, I prayed HARD that the babies would be well cared for AND that the mommas would accept & share in the responsibilities of nurturing these litters.
These little mommas live out my favorite P.D. Eastman book “Flap Your Wings” beautifully! Sweet Ruby Grace & Polly are living in a bunny farm utopia.
He’s in our nest, so he must be ours. His mouth is open. That means he’s hungry. When your baby is hungry, you feed him.
Our Lionhead momma feeds the little Lops and Lionheads alike – and our little Lop momma does the same. The result?? These babies are getting a double portion of mommy milk, nurturing and training. And WOW does it show! Just check out our cuties.
These are just a few photos of my babies. I have literally hundreds – oh what a treat they are! Even more, what a sweet reminder of the Creator’s original design. It’s not about whether your ears point up or down – it’s about seeing a need and jumping in with both feet ((or paws)) and freely, lovingly meeting that need.
What the world needs now is a little time in Bunny Farm Utopia!
