This story as been harder to write than I first anticipated ((and longer than I thought it would be too)). Originally, I thought 2 parts would cover it. However, as I began writing it out, sections and divisions became clearer to me. Each portion of this […]

If you have been keeping up with our story, we just received news that Shepard would indeed be having an appendectomy. Find out all of the circumstances that led up to this discovery and how this new information was a direct answer to prayer by […]
If you have been following along, I have been sharing the story of our recent trip to Washington State and the unexpected journey that followed. If you haven’t read part one & part two, take a few minutes to find out why our doctor was locating a pilot & plane to rush Shepard to the mainland. (more…)
I left off with alarms sounding in my heart. If you haven’t read the first section of “our story”, you can catch up by starting here. But let me interject one important part of this story that occurred an hour before I learned Shepy couldn’t […]
When you hear nothing from me for this long of a stretch, you can be sure it is not for a lack of things to say, haha. Words have been bursting forth in my mind, but time to sit and compose has been nonexistent. I am […]

I have some very sad news to share. If you have been following me on Instagram and Facebook, then you already know of the sadness our little family has experienced this week. If you are like my mom, Instagram and Facebook are things you avoid […]
Whew, summer has started in our household!! VBS, hours of swimming, Monopoly marathons ((Oh, I warned them of the Monopoly pitfalls — but so far they are having a grand time. I am holding my breath)), reading races and general free-spirited shenanigans.
Seems like Memorial Day and fish fry’s are our tradition. Striper is what we have most of – but I am hearing whispers of Crappie being part of this year’s fry day! Yum, Crappie is my all time favorite — more because of a memory, but the taste is still so amazing. (more…)
